Get a real LLC and EIN — free, in minutes — give every AI agent you run its own verifiable ID badge, and keep a tamper-proof log of exactly what you authorized it to do. The company's debts are the company's, not yours.
🔒 Start pseudonymous — no selfie until the day you want a bank account.
You're the strategy. Agents do the work — they ship code, answer customers, run ops, move money. The moment they act in the real world, someone has to be accountable for them. Legit makes that someone you, cleanly: a real entity to operate as, a verifiable identity for each agent under it, and a record of what you told them to do.
A genuine Delaware entity, formed in minutes — free. Add an EIN when you're ready to open a bank account. The company's liability is contained to the company, not your personal name (containment, not immunity).
Each agent gets a verifiable, self-custodial identity (Web Bot Auth / RFC 9421) so it's recognized instead of blocked — and provably operates under your company. You hold the keys; Legit attests them. Recognition depends on each platform — standing, not a guarantee.
Anything that matters — a payment, a signature, a filing — pauses for you to approve. Legit shows you exactly what you're approving and issues a signed, offline-verifiable receipt. An agent can't show one thing and have another signed.
Run the real flow in your browser — issue a credential, authorize an action, verify the receipt. No sign-up, no PII.
Reserve your company-of-one and form a real Delaware entity in minutes. Key-bound and pseudonymous — no face required.
Give each agent its ID badge under your company — from the dashboard or natively from your terminal.
Add an EIN and verify your identity only when you reach for a bank account or your first real contract.
If your agents already run in your terminal, Legit plugs in as an MCP server — point your agent at it and the registration tools appear natively. Form the entity, bind the agent's own key, and get an offline-verifiable credential, all from where you already work.
# point your agent at Legit's MCP server, then: > reserve a company, verify me, form the entity > register_agent_key # binds your agent's OWN key — you keep the private half ✓ entity active · agent bound · credential offline-verifiable
Not every project needs an entity. If you're not earning, signing, or carrying liability yet, a free key-bound company is plenty — form a real one when a bank, client, or contract actually asks.
Free means pseudonymous to start. Your free entity is bound to a key, not a face. We don't ask for a selfie until the EIN step, where a real bank account legally needs a verified human — and even then your identity is shielded from the public and disclosed only on valid legal process. One free entity per verified person, so this doesn't become a shell-company mill.
California residents — the $800 caveat. California's $800/yr minimum franchise tax can apply to an entity it considers to be doing business in California, which it reads to include an entity managed by a CA resident — even with no activity, and per entity. That's a state tax you'd owe California directly, not a Legit fee; a free entity doesn't avoid it if you operate from CA. We flag it before you form. Not tax advice.
We're not a law or accounting firm, and an agent's ID badge is recognition, not a guarantee — each platform decides whether to honor it. What we are is the verified record of who's behind your company and what you authorized.
